The JEI Story
1967
Foundation: Jerauld Electronics Incorporated (JEI) is founded by Robert Jerauld, a retired U.S. Air Force veteran and Sacramento Fire Department member. He pioneers the development of analog voice recorders with timestamp capabilities to enhance communication recording in emergency services.
1998
Leadership Transition: Robert Jerauld approaches retirement. JEI is acquired by Jack Mahoney and Steve Vodoklys, engineers from L3Harris. Under their guidance, JEI transitions into the digital age, launching the flagship JREC software, which revolutionizes digital storage and communication logging.
2024
Joining Radeus Labs: JEI is acquired by Radeus Labs, a San Diego-based defense contractor specializing in digital flight recording, satellite communication systems, and specialized computing systems. As part of Radeus Labs, JEI continues to innovate, developing advanced communication recording solutions to serve the evolving needs of emergency services and beyond.
